What is a Webinar?

Webinars are the hot new way to deliver information, especially in this time of climate change awareness, corporate cost-cutting, emphasis on lifestyle and global access. Webinars are:

• Interactive
• Full multimedia - slides, images, flipcharts, videos
• No cost
• Remove the need to travel
• Recordable so you can watch it later

These are web based training seminars which you attend using your computer or laptop. No special equipment or software is needed, just a decent web browser loaded with flash player and a computer set up with speakers.  Some work based computers have their sound cards disabled, so you need to be using a laptop or PC capable of sound.

Other than that there's no special software needed. You could even put your headphones on with your laptop at Starbucks and enjoy some training

You don't need to participate, just listen and watch. Although some people do like to type in questions and get involved a little.
